What is Problem(x) Solutions?
Problem(x) Solutions aims to provide an array of solutions to various business and data problems. The problems presented throughout this site will focus around the following areas:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Statistics
- Data analysis
- Coding
- Data visualizations
While working through problems, explanations and reasoning behind the solutions are provided to help you understand the logic and concepts involved. The aim would be to help you understand the “why” throughout the problem solving processes. When you understand the “why”, subsequent decision making and problem solving is more about technique and method rather than getting bogged down about the “how” . In general, problems represent examples of the concept to help you understand the algorithm involved for working out the solution.
For each of the core topic areas, I will provide either handwritten solutions, or coding solutions in MS Excel, VBA, R, Python or Octave (MATLAB equivalent).
